This is the list of standard Pokémon Trainers that can be encountered for all challenges at the Battle Frontier in Pokémon Emerald. Each Trainer will use three Pokémon for Single Battles, four for Double Battles, and two for Multi Battles, which are randomly selected from a Trainer-specific set list. Every Pokémon used will have randomly-determined genders and Abilities, but factors used to calculate base stats (EVs, IVs, and Nature) are fixed.
If a checkmark appears with a gold background, that trainer can appear in the given round in Battle Tower, but only in the final battle of the round; they cannot appear in the equivalent round in any of the other facilities. Trainers with green checkmarks for a given round will not be chosen for the final battle of the round in Battle Tower, unless the streak has reached 50 or more wins such that no trainers with gold checkmarks exist in the corresponding column.
The Battle Tower in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire uses a smaller list of 100 Trainers that exclusively use Pokémon from the Hoenn Pokédex.

- Trainers 101 to 120 use Pokémon with 6 IVs
- Trainers 121 to 140 use Pokémon with 9 IVs
- Trainers 141 to 160 use Pokémon with 12 IVs
- Trainers 161 to 180 use Pokémon with 15 IVs
- Trainers 181 to 200 use Pokémon with 18 IVs
- Trainers 201 to 220 use Pokémon with 21 IVs
- Trainers 221 to 300 use Pokémon with 31 IVs
