My Project
The SPIRE materials will help struggling readers with their phonological, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension skills. The intervention staff plans on incorporating the materials with Tier 2 and Tier 3 groups. The SPIRE approach will benefit a large group of Tiered students and will be a perfect edition to the intervention we already provide. The intervention staff felt that it is important to order the higher levels of SPIRE to also reach students that are slightly below grade level. Lastly, the SPIRE materials can also be easily integrated into our school's new SOR reading program.
This classroom project was brought to life by Connecticut State Department of Education.
